The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call for action intending to leave no one behind and shape a better future for all. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) play a key role in achieving the SDGs, not only with regard to university governance but also with regard to having a societal impact and within the field of internationalization.
The Education Department of the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) organized for the 7th time the ASEF Rectors’ Conference and Students’ Forum (ARC), a multi-stakeholder dialogue platform bringing together university leaders, policy makers, education practitioners and students to discuss higher education issues and shape the education landscape. Representatives from the 51 Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) countries participated at the conference in May 2019 in Bucharest, Romania.
