European Media Freedom Conference 2016

Sometimes a journalist might feel alone in a sea of people, fighting one news-piece at a time for better good. The second European Media Freedom Conference is turning the force around introduces the power of the crowd. On 6-7 October, journalists from all over Europe and world will gather to Leipzig to strengthen their networks and discuss approaches to independent news making with colleagues. Representing a youth perspective, the European Youth Press’ Orange Magazine will cover the conference with a special edition and through social media. With the help of two reporters – Triin Ilves and Jonathan Hendrickx – Orange readers will meet the speakers and get a sense of current debates on freedom of expression and independent journalism.
