Sometimes a journalist might feel alone in a sea of people, fighting one news-piece at a time for better good. The second European Media Freedom Conference is turning the force around introduces the power of the crowd. On 6–7 October, journalists from all over Europe and world will gather to Leipzig to strenghten their networks and discuss approaches to independent news making with colleagues. Representing a youth perspective, the European Youth Press’ Orange Magazine will cover the conference with a special edition and through social media. With the help of two reporters – Triin Ilves and Jonathan Hendrickx – Orange readers will meet the speakers and get a sense of current debates on freedom of expression and independent journalism.
