Magdalena Walczak
Magdalena is a journalist and television producer with 10 years of professional experience.
She currentlyworks as EU Brussels correspondent at Xinhua News Agency and its English channel CNC World. She also cooperates with Polish public television network, TVP, focusing on lifestyle and Polish communities abroad. She is a former EU news correspondent for four of TVP’s channels.
Before joining Xinhua she worked for EuroparlTV giving her editorial support to some international initiative, writing and producing TV programmes.
In 2010 she was responsible for the weekly magazine “Brussels behind the Scenes”. For this series she was nominated for a European Parliament Prize for Journalism.
Prior to coming to Brussels, Magdalena worked on the main news program in Poland, “Wiadomości” TVP1 and socio-economic one “Na Celowniku” TVP1. She has gained considerable
experience in editorial while working as a journalist and editor at Newsweek and Forbes magazines.
Magdalena has two Master degrees: a Master of Literature, Editorial and Communications from the University of Warsaw and a Master of Marketing and Management from Warsaw School of Economics. She is Polish national, speaking English and French.
