Call for young European media makers and activists to apply for Multimedia Summer Camp

12 – 25 August, Latvia

If you are a journalism student, young media professional or civil society activist committed to make changes in your society, we invite you to participate in a Multimedia summer camp that will take place on 12 – 25 August, 2013 in Sigulda, Latvia. The event for the third consecutive year is organised by the Soros Foundation – Latvia along with the Forum for European Journalism Students – Latvija FEJS.

The summer camp offers a unique insight into digital journalism through a series of workshops taught by local and European experts and media production phase covering important social and economic issues currently relevant to European countries. Through a mix of formal tuition, discussions and media production you will get theoretical knowledge and hands on experience regarding multimedia journalism, debate and critical thinking, using social media for campaigning and activism, video, audio, photo and print techniques as well as visual storytelling to pursue your own social change projects. Additionally we will offer a social programme to get to know your peers from all over the Europe.
